DICUMYL PEROXIDE Organic Peroxide: DCP (Dicumyl Peroxide) Grade: 99%, 40% Chemical Reactions: 1.Crosslinking for: PE (Polyethylene), EVA (Ethylene Vinyl), EPT (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer), XLPE cable (Insulate electric cable) 2.Vulcanizing agent for EPR & EPT3 3.Catalyst for Polyester resin, allyl resins and for Bulk Polymerization of styrene. (An initiator for polymerization) 4.Solidifying Agent
Chemical Applications: Manufacturing of macro-molecular materials such as rubberwares, polyolefin and foamed plastics. Extremely useful in PE cable insulating and shoe-making industries. Suitable Additive for flame-retarding coatings. Such as coating for EPR & EPT- newly developed synthetic rubbers which have given indication of sufficient quality to merit careful consideration for wire and cable coating and conveyor belts. It can be efficiently cured by DCP or other organic peroxides. DCP becomes a necessity in improving the heat resistance capability of EPT.
It is medium temperature organic peroxide with curing temperature at and above 150C. General Properties: Empirical Formula :C18H22O2 Molecular Weight :270.37 Chemical Name :Dicumyl Peroxide Solubility :Soluble in organic solvents. Synthetic & natural rubber, polyester resins..etc.insoluble in water.
